Name ID

 

The term name ID, or name identification, refers to the number or percentage of the electorate who recognize the name of the candidate or potential candidate.

 

Example:

 

Congressman Joseph Roberts has a 95% name ID in the district compared to his opponent who has only 15% name ID. Congressman Roberts has been in office for 20 years and is very well known while his opponent is virtually unknown in the community.
