Gradualism
Gradualism is the policy or action of making changes gradually or slowly over time.
Example: The Congresswoman did not think that people would respond to quick sweeping change. She thought that it would make them worry. Instead, she wanted to implement change gradually so that they would barely notice that she was making huge changes. She believed in the value of gradualism for making big changes that people would not respond well to if they knew her ultimate goal.
