Absentee Ballot

 

An absentee ballot is a ballot used by a citizen to vote absentee (not at the polls). An absentee ballot can be obtained by filling out an absentee ballot application from the local city/county government. There are a number of potentially approvable reasons for voting absentee such as military service, disability, illness, or working the polls on Election Day. If the application is approved then the ballot will be mailed to the applicant and then must be returned to the local government to be counted.
